FC United of Manchester Youth recorded an emphatic 12-0 home win against Dragon Sports FC in Friday morning’s last-but-one youth team friendly match of the 2020-21 pre-season campaign.

The opening goal came after just two minutes. Visiting keeper Callum Malpass failed to clear from Favour Bolaji and SHERIFF KABBA was on hand to loop the ball home from outside the area.

On 13 minutes, it was 2-0. A Yusuf Qudus through-ball found FAVOUR BOLAJI who blasted home from close range.

On 24 minutes, it was three-nil. A Kevin Zokou shot was blocked by the visitors’ defence but SHERIFF KABBA was well placed to apply the finish.

The next goal, just two minutes later, effectively opened the floodgates; JACK WARD steering his shot into the bottom corner of the net for 4-0.

On 28 minutes, FC United went five up, FAVOUR BOLAJI scoring from the edge of the goal area.

SHERIFF KABBA rounded the keeper on the half hour mark to complete his hat-trick, and make the score 6-0.

And on 32 minutes, FAVOUR BOLAJI completed his own personal hat-trick, with a low shot into the corner of the net, to round off the first half goal scoring.

After the interval, it wasn’t until the 57th minute that the Young Reds further extended their lead; Iniolowa Gbadegesin sending in a cross from the right which FENTON SCOTT stroked home for 8-0.

The final four goals were all netted by MASON BEARD.

His first, on 72 minutes, for 9-0, arrowing in from a short corner.

A one-two with Fenton Scott made it 10-0 on 82 minutes,, and there was still time for two further MASON BEARD strikes, both close range finishes, on 86 minutes and 89 minutes, to make the final score 12-0.

Dragon Sports FC went close in the final stages through Ruben Iawal, but couldn’t find any way past Josh Brooks in the FC United goal.
