FC UNITED of MANCHESTER ACADEMY 'A' TEAM 5 THE FOOTBALL COLLEGE, BURY FC, MEN's 3rds 0
FC United of Manchester Academy ’A’ team continued their recent run of good form with this 5-0 home win in Wednesday’s ECFA/AoC Knockout Trophy Second Round fixture against The Football College, Bury FC, Team Three on the Broadhurst Park 3G.

After having an early "goal" chalked off for offside, FC United might have taken the lead on the half hour mark. Favour Bolaji was tripped inside the penalty area but then scooped the resultant 12 yard kick over the cross bar.

The Young Reds weren’t to be denied for too long, and eventually took the lead on 41 minutes, Israel Aghahowa playing a through ball to EMMANUEL UJAHCHUKU who finished with some style.

On 68 minutes, it was 2-0. This time Emmanuel Ujahchuku was the goal provider, setting up OSMAN AGERSO who made no mistake.

Two minutes later, it was 3-0, FAVOUR BOLAJI making up for his earlier spot kick miss by curling one home from the edge of the penalty area.

The visitors from Bury had provided keen opposition up to this stage but two injuries in the final quarter did nothing to help their cause, and it was no surprise when on 77 minutes, JACK WARD blasted home a fourth for FC United.

BROOK JONES completed the scoring on 83 minutes when he rounded the ’keeper to make the final score 5-0.

FC United of Manchester Academy ’A’ team are back in league action on Wednesday 27th November 2019 when they travel to Long Hey Lane, Altrincham to play iSports FC, Altrincham, KO 1.30 p.m.
