BUXTON FC YOUTH 2 FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH 4
FC United of Manchester Youth travelled to Silverlands, Buxton on Wednesday afternoon and completed home and away league wins against Buxton FC Youth with a 4-2 victory in Wednesday afternoon’s National League u19 Alliance Division ’H’ fixture.

The Young Reds had an excellent chance to open the scoring on 4 minutes when Mason Beard blazed over when well placed in front of the Buxton goal.

The home side had the ball in the net on 28 minutes only for their No. 11 Joao dos Santos to be flagged office.

The Bucks weren’t to be denied for too long, however, as just two minutes later, OLIVER PARTINGTON fired home a curling effort from fully 30 yards out, giving Lenny Fieldhouse little chance in the FC United goal.

On 41 minutes, FC United drew level. Mason Beard sent in a tempting corner from the right and CONNOR MELLING was there to head home from close range.

A goal apiece at half time would have been a respectable score but FC United had other ideas. In came another well flighted corner from Mason Beard and EMMANUEL UJAHCHUKU was in the right place to head home from two yards out at the second attempt.

On 76 minutes, the visitors extended their lead. This time it was No. 9 MASON BEARD on the score sheet as he took full advantage of a Kevin Zokou cross from the right.

Three minutes later, it was 4-1, as MASON BEARD added his second of the game, completely wrong-footing the Buxton ’keeper before walking the ball into the unguarded goal.

On 87 minutes, LILYAN SAMBA pulled one back for the home side, but there was to be no way back for Buxton FC Youth as the FC United of Manchester Youth team held on for all three points.
