FC United of Manchester Youth got back to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 home win against Buxton FC Youth in Wednesday afternoon’s National League u19 Alliance Division ’H’ league fixture on the Broadhurst Park 3G.

After a goal-less first half, FC United got what proved to be the winning goal on the hour mark. Michael Olayinka sped away down the left wing before sending over a low cross which KEVIN ZOKOU crisply steered past Buxton ’keeper Will Palmer from eight yards out.

The visitors’ Jaoa dos Santos almost grabbed an equaliser in the closing stages but couldn’t quite find a way past the FC United defence ably marshalled by centre-half Connor Melling.

FC United of Manchester Youth are next in league action when they travel to Myerscough College, Lancashire, to play Preston North End Youth (Wednesday 27th November 2019 - KO 1.30 pm).
