FC United of Manchester’s Academy ’B’ team recorded their biggest win of the season so far with this 10-2 away win against iSports FC Manchester Men’s 2nds at Manor Farm, Timperley on Wednesday afternoon in the ECFA NW Men’s Invitation 3A league.

The opening goal came after just 9 minutes; Niall Webb setting up MAX LEWENS, who scored comfortably.

On 14 minutes, it was 2-0, as MAX LEWENS curled in his second goal of the afternoon.

KANE STOCKLEY made it 3-0 on 22 minutes when the home ’keeper failed to clear properly and two minutes later it was 4-0, JACOBE ANDERSON firing home from a Max Lewens pass.

With half-time approaching, iSports FC Manchester Men’s 2nds rallied briefly.

On 42 minutes, ABU SALLOO pulled one back for the home side when he reacted first to a free-kick that had rebounded off the crossbar and two minutes later, the same player made it 4-2 when he burst through the middle and scored unopposed.

MAX LEWENS restored FC United’s three goal advantage with his hat-trick goal on 53 minutes after being put through by Nario Baptista.

The dismissal on 59 minutes of FC United’s Marshall Fox might possibly have allowed the home side a way back into the game, but it wasn’t to be, and on 64 minutes, a close-range finish by KANE STOCKLEY put the Young Reds 6-2 up.

A minute later, KANE STOCKLEY took advantage of a mistake by the home keeper to complete his own hat-trick (7-2) before Niall Webb again linked up with MAX LEWENS on 67 minutes for the latter to make the score 8-2 .

NIALL WEBB’s 25 yard curler on 74 minutes (9-2) was arguably the best of the afternoon and there was still time for Nario Baptista to set up JACOBE ANDERSON for goal number ten on 87 minutes, to make the final score 10-2.
