FC United of Manchester Academy ’A’ team went down to a somewhat disappointing 4-2 defeat against Oldham College Men’s 2nds on Wednesday afternoon at the Failsworth Soccer Centre in their latest ECFA North West Men’s Category 2B league fixture.
The home side had taken the lead on 18 minutes before MASON GREGG equalised for the Young Reds on 32 minutes from the penalty spot following a push in the box which made the half-time score 1-1.
Oldham College stormed back into the lead after the interval with goals on 47 minutes and 50 minutes before a 25 yard effort from STEVE AFFLECK reduced the arrears to 3-1 on 64 minutes.
The home side made sure of the result with a fourth goal on 75 minutes.
