FC United of Manchester Youth crashed out of the National League U19 Alliance League Cup competition at the First Round stage at home to Preston North End (Myerscough) Youth on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday afternoon despite taking a 47th minute lead through a WILL SHAWCROSS spot kick after Francesco Frangillo had been tripped just inside the penalty area.
The plucky visitors drew level on 71 minutes when HANNU TAM slotted home the equaliser from close range.
Worse was to follow for the Young Reds when CHARLIE WATERS curled in a free-kick on 80 minutes and substitute JOSHUA McRAE made sure of the final result on 89 minutes.
