Referee's praise for U18s game
Over the weekend, FC United’s Youth team were in cup action and although they lost 2-1 away to Hunts Cross Kings Park FC of Aigburth, along with a small contingent of supporters, they continued the club’s tradition of making friends wherever we go.

This time it was the match referee Ian Arands who decided to get in touch with the club via e-mail to say thanks to everybody involved during the day. His e-mail said:

Hello

I was match referee at the game on Sunday, Hunts Cross v FC United U18s.

Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone at FC United for making the game a memorable game to referee. I thought it was a great touch to have both teams walking out together and also it was great to meet your club’s mascot.

The fans were superb on the line and very friendly after the game also. The players’ attitude was a credit to the club, especially the club captain.

Once again many thanks and good luck with the season.
