FC United Youth came back from two goals down to grab a share of the points against top-of-the-table FC Halifax Town Youth in their latest Football Conference Youth Alliance league fixture, this following a 2-2 draw on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday morning.

The visitors deservedly took the lead on 17 minutes when Lee Betts scored from close range.

And on 28 minutes, Betts added his second to put the Yorkshire team 2-0 up.

Four minutes before half-time, Cameron Horner reduced the arrears when he ran on to a Jack Tinning pass to net comfortably.

On 53 minutes, FC United Youth grabbed an equaliser when Horner netted his second with a low shot that the Halifax ’keeper couldn’t quite hold onto.

After that there were chances at both ends, with FC United Youth nearly snatching a late winner in the 2nd minute of time added on, but substitute Charlie Sykes’ effort just flew wide.
