FC United of Manchester Youth completed their Football Conference Youth Alliance Division I league programme with a 0-2 away defeat against Guiseley AFC Youth at the Ben Rhydding Sports Club in Ilkley on Wednesday afternoon.


After a goalless opening period in testing, squally conditions, Guiseley AFC Youth took the lead on 34 minutes when Devonte Morton slotted the ball home past Sam Baird in the FC United Youth goal.

Cameron Horner came close to equalising on 70 minutes when he shot wide with only the home goalkeeper to beat.

On 78 minutes, Guiseley AFC Youth made sure of the result when Wilson Lourenco added goal number two.

The visitors tried their utmost to pull a goal back in the closing stages, with Kamahl Fuller coming the closest with a low shot that was tipped round the post, but Guiseley AFC Youth held strong to take all three points.

FC United of Manchester Youth finish the Football Conference Youth Alliance Division I league in fourth position (out of twelve teams).
