PLAYER NEWS: Basso leaves, Adeolye joins and Krou returns.

Goalkeeper Adrianno Basso has left the club to join Hartlepool - Former Stoke City youth striker Tomi Adeolye joins the Reds and Cedric Krou returns.



Goalkeeper Adrianno Basso has left FC United to join League Two side Hartlepool United as a player, and also as part of their coaching staff. The former Bristol City legend (aged 41) joined the Reds on Boxing Day and appeared in 8 consecutive matches. His final match was against Chorley last month where he was sent off in the closing minutes of the game.



Forward Tomi Adeolye (aged 21) joins FC United following a successful run out in the Reserves scoring twice in our 4-4 draw with Buxton on 25th February.

Adeloye was on the books at Charlton and Millwall (Under 18s) before moving to Stoke City in early 2014 where he played 8 times for their Under 23 side, scoring twice. He had spells with Macclesfield, Chelmsford, Letherhead and Dover Athletic before joining National League side Welling where he played 6 times between February and August 2016.

We are also pleased to welcome defender Cedric Krou back to the club following his return to England after a year with Latvian side BFC Daugavpils. The 26 year old Frenchman played for FC United between 2010 and 2013 before leaving to join Ramsbottom United in January 2014. He then moved onto Droylsden before making the move abroad. Krou appeared 24 times for the Reds but only started on 7 occasions.
