Match Report
FC United will travel to Harrogate Town on Tuesday night for an FA Cup third qualifying round replay after an enthralling 3-3 draw on Saturday afternoon at Broadhurst Park.

The Reds were just seconds away from being in the hat for the fourth and final qualifying round after being 3-1 up but the visitors fought back to snatch a 95th minute equaliser.

FC United found themselves a goal down after 20 minutes when JP Pittman’s broke the deadlock for the North Yorkshire club. But the Reds turned the tie on its head with goals from Dale Johnson and Harry Winter either side of half time making it 2-1.

Midway through the second half, George Thomson curled home a free-kick to make it 3-1 and the majority of the 1,541 supporters in Broadhurst Park were elated and could be forgiven for thinking the result was secure.

However, Town went on to show exactly why they are one of the favourites for promotion this season from our division into the Vanarama National League.

Substitute Andy Gascoigne headed home Joe Leesley’s corner with 12 minutes to go to give Harrogate a lifeline. And with the Reds desperately hanging on, Joe Colbeck fired in Pittman’s pass at the back post in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
