FC United of Manchester’s Academy ’B’ team went down to a heavy 1-11 home defeat against a much superior Morecambe FC’s Under 21s team in a rather one-sided pre-season friendly match on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday morning with JAY BRENNAN scoring a late consolation goal for the home side.

JIMMY BURSTON had opened the scoring for the visitors on 7 minutes direct from a corner, before AARON HASSALL made it 0-2 with a long range effort on 14 minutes.

EZEKIEL BADEMOSI added the third from close range on 20 minutes before LABI ADENIRAN netted from the penalty spot on 24 minutes before adding his second on 29 minutes and his hat-trick goal on 31 minutes (0-6).

Morecambe’s big No. 16 ALIEU SHERIFF then rolled in goal numbers seven and eight on 39 minutes and 58 minutes respectively, before QUARRI NERSIM made it 0-9 on 61 minutes.

And there was still time for a second goal from EZEKIEL BADEMOSI (72 minutes) and a header from JAMES DOYLE (76 minutes) before the home side’s deserved late consolation effort on 79 minutes.
