Match Report
FARSLEY CELTIC YOUTH 0 FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH 1

FC United of Manchester Youth made it five wins out of five in the National League u19 Alliance ’J’ Division with this hard fought 1-0 away win against Farsley Celtic Youth at Throstle Nest on Wednesday afternoon.

After Farsley’s Jordan Hobson had hit the foot of the post in the second minute, the home side scarcely troubled the visitors after that with the Young Reds carving out a host of chances which they were unable to convert with home ’keeper Daniel Crook in splendid form.

It wasn’t until the 79th minute when FC United scored what proved to be the winner when JACK O’LEARY steered the ball home through a crowded goalmouth after Cameron Horner had knocked back a Will Shawcross corner.

There was still time for FC United’s Charlie Sykes to be shown a straight red card for violent conduct following a mass confrontation on 85 minutes with team manager Rhodri Giggs joining him in the dressing rooms shortly afterwards having expressed disagreement with the match officials.
